The Foundation is supported by an international Advisory Board and was founded by African Woman of the Year Emeritus and Mandela100 Prize Winner, Her Excellency, Dr Justina Mutale, who is listed as Africa’s Best Female Philanthropist and named in the various WHO’s WHO Powerlists across the globe, including the100 Most Reputable People on Earth; Powerlist of the Most Influential Black People in modern Britain; Most Influential African Women; and 100 Most Reputable Africans in the World.
Dr Mutale has over 30 years’ experience working in diplomatic and international development settings and gender issues. Prior to the Foundation, Dr Mutale worked in the Social Transformation Programmes Division which comprised Education, Health and Gender Sections at the headquarters of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. She was part of the Commonwealth team that drafted the Commonwealth Gender Plan of Action (2005-2015), which addressed the Millennium Development Goals. Dr Mutale was also part of the European Working Group of the Bond Network, which contributed to the drafting of the European Gender Plan of Action to address the Sustainable Development Goals (2015-2030). In addition the Dr Mutale and the Foundation were invited to contribute to the consultations for the new African Union Gender Strategy (2017-2025).
Dr Mutale leads and sits on various boards across the globe. She sits on the Board of the World Leaders Forum headquartered in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates; and serves as Global Envoy for Gender Equality & Spokesperson of the International Women’s Think Tank headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She has also served as Vice-President of the United Kingdom’s National Alliance of Women’s Organisations and is a member of the core Group at the United Kingdom’s Civil Society Women’s Alliance, which works closely with the UK Government Equalities. She has been honoured on various global platforms for her phenomenal leadership qualities.
She is an international Keynote Speaker and bestselling author of “The Art of Iconic Leadership: Power Secrets of Female World Leaders”, and Co-Author of the highly cerebral book: “Women on Corporate Boards: An International Perspective”.
